We are looking for an experienced Manual QA Engineer to join our team. The role requires flexibility, proactivity, and hands-on work with the Upwork platform.

Qualifications:

2+ years of commercial experience as a Manual QA Engineer;

Strong understanding of SDLC / STLC;

English level - B2;

Confident in functional, regression, exploratory testing;

Can create structured test cases and checklists;

Write clear, reproducible bug reports in English;

Can use AI tools in daily tasks;

Apply test design techniques;

Think in terms of risk, coverage, and priorities (not just execution);

Communicate with clients on calls (can ask clarifying questions and explain issues);

Take ownership instead of waiting for tasks;

Ability to resolve chaos and bring clarity;

Proactively ask questions and suggests improvements;

Deliver value quickly in a new project;

Identify missing or unclear requirements;

Experience with Agile (Scrum / Kanban);

Work with Jira (or similar tools)

Will be a plus:

Knowledge in automation testing;

Experience across domains (web, mobile, SaaS, e-commerce, fintech);

Performance testing;

Accessibility testing

Responsibilities:

Analyze requirements and define testing scope independently;

Create and execute test cases/checklists;

Report and prioritize bugs clearly;

Communicate directly with client and team;

Ensure features meet requirements before release;

Do regression and post-release checks;

Quickly dive into new projects, understanding requirements without onboarding;

Work fully independently (no QA lead);

Manage own tasks and deadlines;

Communicate with sales team and QA team;

Collaborate with clients across different time zones, including evening shifted calls;
