Qualifications:

5+ years of professional experience in software engineering;

Deep expertise in .NET Core and SQL (design, optimization, and performance tuning);

Solid experience with Angular and Javascript;

Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and modern web application architecture;

Proven experience leading engineering teams or mentoring developers;

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills;

Ability to take ownership of technical decisions and drive best practices;

Basic understanding of AWS services and their purpose;

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field will be a plus;

Advanced experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and AWS will be a plus;

English level: Upper-intermediate+ (ideally Advanced - the team includes engineers from India).

Project description:

This is a robust enterprise-grade platform composed of two key products designed for regulated industries: a highly configurable workflow automation tool and a document management system (eQMS). The platform enables organizations to digitize physical processes and ensure full compliance, auditability, and visibility across all stages of execution.

The focus of this role is on the document management product — a powerful system built to manage the full lifecycle of documents in compliance-driven environments. Users can create and edit documents, request approvals, assign update tasks, configure workflows, set alerts, and maintain complete audit trails. The system is mature, used by clients in critical sectors, and supports strict regulatory requirements.

Tech Lead will focus on ensuring technical soundness of new features, reviewing and improving merged code, and managing a clear backlog of technical debt and improvements. Hands-on development is expected only for particularly complex features that require architectural input.

Project team: CTO and CEO (US-based), a solution architect (UA-based), and a development team of about five engineers in India, QA (~8 specialists + QA Lead), DevOps (2 engineers), business analysts (3 members), Scrum Master, and Product Owner.

Responsibilities:

Own the technical quality of all new features by creating or reviewing proposed solutions across the team;

Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to engineering best practices and maintain high code quality standards;

Identify, document, and prioritize technical debt and architecture improvement opportunities in collaboration with the team;

Maintain a structured and transparent tech backlog, ensuring it aligns with product and engineering goals;

Translate technical decisions and limitations into clear, business-relevant language for non-technical stakeholders;

Collaborate with technical leaders (Solution Architect, DevOps Lead, and Tech Lead from a related project) to shape and evolve the overall product technical vision;

Work closely with the Product Owner and Business Analyst team to shape the product backlog and influence prioritization from a technical perspective;

Partner with the Delivery Manager to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery of regular product releases.
