About vacancy:
The Principal Database Administrator (DBA) will work closely with Engineering, Architecture, and Operations teams to build and support mission-critical database systems as part of an ongoing digital transformation journey. As the technical leader of the DBA team, you will be responsible for defining and supporting new and existing database systems across public cloud environments and traditional data centers. You will play a key role in establishing best practices in database administration, ensuring high data availability, database management, database design, process improvement, and requirements analysis. Additionally, you will drive innovation with a strong focus on automation.
Qualifications:
10+ years of hands-on Oracle and MySQL (or equivalent) database experience in a mission critical 24x7 environment;
10+ years of hands-on experience with different types of database technologies, such as MongoDB, Redis, Postgres as well as AWS technologies such as RDS and Dynamo;
4+ years of experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS);
Experience with upgrades and patch management;
Experience with automated database deployment using Jenkins, Ansible or similar tools;
Outstanding communication skills;
Demonstrated experience with cross-team collaboration, including with Engineering, SRE / Operations, Architecture as well business stakeholders;
English level: Advanced.

Project Team: 2 Database Engineers, and you will also collaborate closely with the larger Infrastructure Operations team, which is responsible for managing all of the company’s servers and networks.
Responsibilities:
Manage full database lifecycle to include initial installation and configuration of database technologies, deployment of engineered system design solutions, daily operations, administration, upgrades and management of database technologies;
Provide high-end technical DBA support, while also supporting software development and operational teams with database definition, structure, long-term requirements and security and integrity controls systems according to industry best practices to ensure a secure and reliable environment for server database functionality;
Implement database security, including user roles, permissions, and auditing to ensure data protection and compliance;
Independently analyze, solve and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution;
Research, evaluate and recommend new database technologies in collaboration with Engineering projects;
Work closely with SRE teams to enhance monitoring, proactively diagnose issues, and resolve performance bottlenecks;
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation: On-call rotation is managed via PagerDuty, typically 1 week every 6-8 weeks. Engineers are expected to respond within 15 minutes to urgent issues (e.g., production outages) and assist in diagnosing and resolving the problem in collaboration with the team.
